To provide a dental calculus removal agent capable of quickly and easily removing a dental calculus of animals including a human being, with high safety, a dental calculus removal method for pet animal, a dental calculus removal jerky for pet animal.SOLUTION: There are provided: a dental calculus removal agent including as an active principle, dry lactic acid bacteria; a dental calculus removal method for pet animal and a jerky for pet animal in which, the dry lactic acid bacteria are brought into contact with a dental calculus deposition part of the pet animal; and a dental calculus removal jerky for pet animal and a production method thereof in which, the dry lactic acid bacteria are held to the jerky.SELECTED DRAWING: None
