PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a large-aperture telephoto lens that features a bright F-number of approximately F1.8 and offers good optical performance.SOLUTION: A large-aperture telephoto lens of the present invention comprises a first lens group L1 having positive refractive power, a second lens group L2 having negative refractive power, and a third lens group L3 having positive refractive power in order from the object side to the image side. A cemented lens of the first lens group L1 located on the most object side has a cemented surface Sc1 that is concave on the object side. Each of the second lens group L2 and the third lens group L3 is composed of three or more lenses. When focusing, the first lens group L1 is stationary relative to an image plane, while the second lens group L2 moves toward the image side along an optical axis and the third lens group L3 moves toward the object side along the optical axis.
