PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a striking test device including a brake mechanism with a simple structure without needing a control system, and a brake mechanism capable of being retrofitted to the striking test device.SOLUTION: To a rotational shaft 23 as an oscillation center of a pendulum type hummer 24, a brake rotor 41, which has for example a half structure, is detachably attached by a fastener 43. To a base 10, an oscillation lever 45 is held in an oscillatable manner through an attachment member 44, and to the oscillation lever 45, a brake shoe 42 is attached. The oscillation lever 45 is energized in a direction where the brake shoe 42 separates from the brake rotor 41, by a spring 64. For example, operation force in manually operating an operation unit 60 is transmitted to the oscillation lever 45 by for example an inner and outer double type cable 50, and the brake shoe 42 is pressure-welded into the brake rotor 41.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
