The present invention provides a new class of dithiocarbamate-metal complexes and their use in medicine. Also provided by the invention are combinations and pharmaceutical compositions comprising a dithiocarbamate (or thiuram disulfide) such as disulfiram and a cyclodextrin along with a source of heavy metal. Surprisingly, the inventors have found a synergistic enhancement of the antitumor effect when a dithiocarbamate / heavy metal mixture is combined with cyclodextrin. The compounds and combinations of the present invention are particularly useful for treating tumor diseases and other disorders. In addition to the compounds, combinations, pharmaceutical compositions and kits described above, methods of making the combinations of the present invention are provided. [Selection diagram] None
