To provide a wireless power receiver for adaptively helping control power and a frequency output of a wireless power transmitter that avoids negative modulation.SOLUTION: The method of operating a wireless power receiver includes: detecting a negative modulation (704); and adjusting a parameter to force a transition to a positive modulation (706). The parameter is an output voltage of the wireless power receiver. Adjusting the output voltage of the wireless power receiver is to regulate operation of a regulator coupled between a rectifier circuit and the output voltage.
