PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a horizontal repair method for a building that curtails an amount of time needed for horizontal repair of a foundation, even when a batholith of a retaining wall is at a location where a bearing pile for a ground is to be installed, by realizing in a short period of time a situation where reactive force is obtained from the ground by the bearing pile.SOLUTION: In the horizontal repair method for a building, reactive force is obtained from a ground when a batholith 102 of a retaining wall 101 is at a location where a bearing pile 2 for a ground 100 is to be installed, by inserting the bearing pile 2 into a through-hole 102a formed through the batholith 102. The horizontal repair method includes the following steps for: forming a casing pipe hole 12 through the ground 100 above the batholith 102, by pressing a casing pipe 1 into the ground; forming the through-hole 102a through the batholith, by inserting a boring tip tool into the casing pipe hole 12; and pressing the bearing pile 2 into the ground 100 underneath the batholith 102, by inserting the bearing pile 2 into the casing pipe hole 12 and then into the through-hole 102a of the batholith 102.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
