PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To present a user a relation of a plurality of documents extracted according to retrieval criteria specified by the user in an easy-to-understand manner.SOLUTION: A document retrieval device acquires criteria for extracting a specific document from a plurality of documents which may have a citation relation with other document from a user terminal. The document retrieval device extracts a document satisfying the criteria from the plurality of documents stored in a document DB. The document retrieval device generates a citation map 70 in which a plurality of document objects 76 indicating the plurality of documents extracted are arranged, and generates a citation map 70 associating a document object 76 indicating a first extracted document with a document object 76 indicating a second extracted document by an arrow 78 when there is a citation relation between the first extracted document and the second extracted document, and presents the generated citation map to the user terminal 16.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
