Nurse call system with acoustic characteristic adjustment function

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To adjust acoustic properties of calling means used by a patient so that senior patients and patients with hearing impairment can easily hear by using a controller relaying calls of patients.SOLUTION: A nurse call system 1 includes: a bed slave machine 2 including a speaker 13 used by a patient; a nurse call master machine 3 including a microphone 22 used by a nurse; a controller 4 relaying a call from the bed slave machine 2 to the nurse call master machine 3; a storage device 6 storing patient information; and a position detector 7 detecting an in-hospital position of the patient. The bed slave machine 2 is provided with a filter circuit 14 adjusting frequency characteristics of the speaker 13. The controller 4 reads out information about a called patient from the storage device 6 and controls the filter circuit 14 so that acoustic properties of the speaker 13 are adapted to the patient information.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
