PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To more accurately measure an actual distance between two points.SOLUTION: An image measurement method for measuring an actual distance between two specific points reflected in an image includes the steps of: installing a rod having colored parts of at least two places; photographing the rod so as to settle the entire rod within an image; acquiring colored position information showing respective distances between respective end points of the colored parts and an end point of the rod; extracting pixels approximate to color components colored on the colored parts from image data, measuring the linearity of a cluster generated by performing labeling processing on the basis of spatial connections of the pixels, and detecting a part measured as the linearity as a colored part; acquiring information showing two places being measurement objects of distance, designated by a user; and measuring the distance from the positions of the end points of the colored parts and the colored position information on the basis of a principle of projective transformation and a least square method.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
