To provide a home gateway device that can prevent transmission toward a false transmission destination without performing advanced registration of a transmission destination telephone number.SOLUTION: When a dial information detection unit 130 detects a transmission destination telephone number from a telephone 200, a transmission processing determination unit 140 searches past transmission history stored in a transmission information table 150, and when the same telephone number does not exist, the transmission processing determination unit determines it as a first transmission destination to drive a recognition voice creation and transmission unit 160, and the recognition voice creation and transmission unit transmits recognition voice guidance including the transmission destination telephone number dialed to a telephone 200 to cause a caller to reconfirm the telephone number. When on-hook of the telephone 200 is detected until constant time determined as a transmission stop operation allowable time threshold value passes after the recognition voice guidance is transmitted, the transmission processing determination unit 140 stops a transmission operation of the recognition voice guidance as a halfway abandoned call, and stops the transmission operation toward the transmission destination dialed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
