PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermophysical property measuring apparatus capable of measuring thermal diffusivity of a sample at an arbitrary depth and evaluating anisotropy of the sample.SOLUTION: A thermophysical property measuring apparatus, which uses a temperature measuring method through periodic heating and radiation that measures thermal diffusivity from periodic temperature changes of a measured object by emitting a frequency-modulated heating lazer beam to a measured object 21 and detecting an infrared ray to be radiated from the measured object, comprises: laser beam emission means 1 that emits a frequency-modulated heating laser beam to the measured object; infrared ray detection means 6 that detects the infrared ray to be radiated from the measured object by emission of the laser beam; thermal diffusivity calculation means that calculates heat diffusivity from multiple phase differences between a period of temperature changes of the measured object which are measured at multiple measurement points by the infrared ray detection means and a period of the laser beam; and modulating frequency controlling means that controls a modulating frequency of the laser beam to be emitted from the laser beam emission means.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
