PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for displaying search candidate words, that utilizes information on use frequency of words inputted by a user's terminal operation, and thereby specifies and displays words that normally are frequently used by the user and that are unique to the user, as candidate words for a search word.SOLUTION: A device for displaying search candidate words includes: a character conversion information storage section 35 for storing information on use frequency of words that are inputted by operating a terminal 3 when using the terminal 3, as use history information of the words, inside the terminal; a related word acquisition section 36 for acquiring related words associated with an input word inputted into a search field, from an external server 2; a search candidate word specification section 37 for specifying search candidate words on the basis of the acquired related words and the use history information, when an arbitrary input word is inputted into the search field; and display control means 38 for determining a display mode and displaying the specified search candidate words.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
