PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manhole rehabilitation method and a manhole rehabilitation structure which can reconstruct a manhole with excellent workability and durability and shortening a construction period.SOLUTION: A manhole rehabilitation structure 300 comprises: a reinforcing cylindrical body 200 having a smaller outer diameter than an inner diameter of an existing manhole 100 which is inserted inside the existing manhole 100 in a standing posture; a back-filling material R included in the space between the inner peripheral surface of the existing manhole 100 and the outer peripheral surface of the reinforcing cylindrical body 200; a new invert 211 installed in the bottom of the reinforcing cylindrical body 200; a support foundation 10 arranged in a state of surrounding the existing manhole 100 on a ground G around the existing manhole 100 in the neighborhood of the upper edge part of the existing manhole 100; and an oblique wall block 22 placed on the support foundation 10. The reinforcing cylindrical body 200 is a synthetic resin cylindrical body 201 in which sand 202 is dispersedly fixed in the upper part of the outer peripheral surface.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 9
