To provide a method for diagnosing the productivity of employees and a system for diagnosing the productivity of employees which are hardly affected by exchange rate fluctuations.SOLUTION: This method for diagnosing the productivity of employees comprises the steps of: acquiring the cost, out of the total cost, of an imported article converted into yen by an actual exchange rate; acquiring the cost, out of the total cost, of other than the imported article; acquiring a corrected import cost by multiplying the cost of the imported article by purchasing power parity and dividing the result by the actual exchange rate; adding the cost of other than the imported article to the corrected import cost and acquiring a corrected total cost; and acquiring a corrected operating profit and loss by subtracting the corrected total cost and expenses from sales. When the corrected operating profit and loss is larger than a prescribed target profit and loss, the productivity of employees is diagnosed as being high.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
