PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a phase speed estimation device which can be mounted purely only by software and is inexpensive, robust with respect to an environmental change, and applicable over a wide speed range from low speed to high speed, the phase speed estimation device being configured to detect a phase/speed of a rotor of an AC motor comprising a multi-phase low-resolution detector estimatingly.SOLUTION: A phase speed estimation device comprises: N-phase/two-phase conversion means 10-1 for converting an N-phase signal into a two-phase signal; fundamental wave phase deviation extraction means 10-2 for extracting a value corresponding to a fundamental wave phase deviation between a phase of a fundamental wave component of the two-phase signal and a rotor phase corresponding value; and phase speed generation means 10-3 for applying PLL processing and phase correction processing to the extracted value corresponding to the fundamental wave phase deviation, thereby generating at least one of a rotor phase corresponding value and a rotor speed corresponding value in real time.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
