PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin composition for garbage bag excellent in balance between kneadability at the time of molding and opacity; a garbage bag formed from the resin composition; and a method for producing the same.SOLUTION: A resin composition for garbage bag contains calcium carbonate of 30 mass% or more with respect to the mass of the whole composition, and a thermoplastic resin which has distribution of a molecular weight of 5.0-30.0 and contains high density polyethylene as a constituent resin. A resin composition for garbage bag preferably further contains low density polyethylene as a constituent resin, and more preferably has a melt mass flow rate of 1.0 g/10 min or less.SELECTED DRAWING: None
