PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicular AM broadcast receiver and a method for removing noise at the vehicular AM broadcast receiver that reliably remove an impact of vehicle noise with a simple configuration without deteriorating restoration accuracy of a voice signal, i.e a detection signal.SOLUTION: A vehicular AM broadcast receiver removes, with a digital filter 36, a single sideband wave signal at a side where vehicle noise is superposed in an AM broadcast signal received through an antenna 20. It detects, with a detector 44, an AM broadcast signal made up of a single sideband wave signal at a side where the vehicle noise is not superposed and a carrier signal of the single sideband wave signal, or a double sideband wave signal on which the vehicle noise is not superposed and a carrier signal of the double sideband wave signal.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
