PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a poultry breeding method that can improve growth of the poultry for meat.SOLUTION: A method for breeding poultry F in a poultry house 1 provides a breeding day for switching from an active period for irradiating a breeding area BA with light to activate activities of the poultry to a repose period for irradiating the breeding area BA with the light to suppress the activities of the poultry and/or switching from the repose period to the active period, during one day. A breeding day is provided in which the active period is switched to the repose period during one day, and therefore the growth of the poultry can be improved and the growth can be promoted in comparison with the case when the light for activating the activities of the poultry always irradiates the breeding area.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
