To provide an unconventional epoch-making forging device, a mold shift correction device and a ram lifting optimization device attached to the forging device, and a mold shift correction method and a ram lifting optimization method in the forging device.SOLUTION: A forging device provided with a frame 2 on an anvil 1, with a lifting ram 3 on the frame 2, with a lower die 4 on the anvil 1, and with an upper die 5 on the ram 3, for performing forging by sandwiching a workpiece with the lower die 4 and the upper die 5, is constituted so that the frame 2 can be moved in a longitudinal direction to the anvil 1, at an impact time caused by drop of the ram 3.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
