PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a relaxation method of an external force applied to a measuring tape on a measuring tape holder, capable of relaxing collision energy applied to the measuring tape if another component hits the measuring tape on the measuring tape holder, without deteriorating handleability or safety of the measuring tape holder, and also to provide a measuring tape holder configured using the relaxation method.SOLUTION: A measuring tape holder 1 is configured using a relaxation method of an external force applied to a measuring tape on the measuring tape holder 1, and rotatably forms a holding part 4 holding a measuring tape 3 of the measuring tape holder 1. When an external force is applied to the measuring tape 3 held at the holding part 4, the holding part 4 rotates together with the measuring tape 3 so as to relax the external force applied to the measuring tape 3.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
