To provide a wet type extinguishment facility of a red-hot coke having an extinguishment facility installed at a coke oven battery central part to prevent yield reduction due to burning and extinguishing of the red-hot coke while transporting from an extrusion kiln to the extinguishment facility.SOLUTION: In a facility for extinguishing a red-hot coke which has been extruded from a coke oven chamber, followed by receiving the red-hot coke in a coke mount box pulled with an extinguishment wagon and spraying water in an existing range of the red-hot coke in the coke mount box from a sprinkler piping in the extinguishment facility, the wet type extinguishment facility of a red-hot coke is characterized by that the extinguishment facility is arranged at a central part position of the coke oven battery, and the sprinkler piping in an extinguishment chamber is arranged at a height of 2 step to 4 step right above of a bottom edge of a tilted bottom plate of the coke mounted box or a vicinity thereof.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
