To obtain a server device capable of reducing a communication amount by discovering the occurrence of abnormality in an early stage even in the case of making a household electrical appliance with a limited hardware resource a monitoring object.SOLUTION: A server device 10 includes: an appliance information collection unit 11 for transmitting a request message for requesting monitoring object information showing a state of a household electrical appliance 20 to the household electrical appliance 20, and collecting the monitoring object information from the household electrical appliance 20; and a transmission interval determination unit 13 for determining an interval at which the appliance information collection unit 11 transmits the request message to the household electrical appliance 20 on the basis of the collected monitoring object information.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
