Adapter and laser Doppler velocimeter system

To provide an adapter for changing the intersection angle of two beams emitted by a laser Doppler velocimeter, in which a safety standard equivalent to a laser Doppler velocimeter alone is satisfied.SOLUTION: A sensor unit 1 emits two synthesized beams created by synthesizing a beam for collimation of a visible range wavelength with a beam for measurement of an invisible range wavelength so that the beams intersect at a prescribed intersection angle. An adapter 2 mounted on the sensor unit 1 changes the optical paths of two synthesized beams incident from the sensor unit 1 so as to reduce the intersection angle before being emitted. An optical filter 26 for attenuating light of a wavelength of the beam for collimation and not attenuating light of a wavelength of the beam for measurement is provided on the adapter 2 in such a way that the two synthesized beams pass through the optical filter 26 (b).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
