To provide a remote monitoring information management method and a remote monitoring system for easily managing program information used for a remote monitoring process of an elevator while preventing leakage.SOLUTION: This remote monitoring system comprises: a remote monitoring device that is installed in a prescribed elevator when a contract is made on remote monitoring of the elevator; and a remote service information sensor device. The remote monitoring device stores communication program information, diagnostic operation program information for a diagnostic operation related to remote monitoring, and program information for writing the diagnostic operation program information. The service information center device transmits a program deletion command to the remote monitoring device upon expiration of the contact period of the elevator remote monitoring. The remote monitoring device that has received the program deletion command deletes the diagnostic operation program information in a state where the communication program information and the program information for writing are kept in the own device.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
