PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mail receiving box excellent in operability and convenience and a use state notification system of the mail receiving box.SOLUTION: A lock mechanism part 6 being a cremorne lock includes: a first operation part 7 attached on an opening/closing door 2; a rod 10 extending in a vertical direction T1 by operation of the first operation part 7 and locking the opening/closing door 2 by engaging with an engagement part 8 of a box body 1 along with closing operation of the opening/closing door 2; and a rod advancing/retracting mechanism 11 causing the rod 10 to advance in the vertical direction T1 with operation of the first operation part 7. An unlock mechanism part includes: a second operation part 22 arranged on the box body 1; and a solenoid mechanism 21 comprising a coil generating a magnetic field when an electric current flows with operation of the second operation part 22, and a core material moving due to a magnetic field generated in the coil and operating the rod advancing/retracting mechanism 11 such that the rod 10 retracts in the vertical direction T1.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
