Provided are a resin composition, a film, a near-infrared cut filter, an infrared transmission filter, a solid-state image sensor, an image display device, an infrared sensor, and a camera module capable of forming a film having excellent near-infrared shielding property, light resistance, and adhesion. The resin composition contains a compound represented by the formula (1) and a resin. In the formula, A and B independently represent an aromatic hydrocarbon ring or an aromatic heterocycle, respectively. Ra and Rb each independently represent a substituent, m1 represents an integer of 0 to mA, and m2 represents an integer of 0 to mb. Y1 and Y2 independently represent an alkyl group, an aryl group, a group represented by the formula (Y-1) or a group represented by the formula (Y-2), and at least one of Y1 and Y2 is a formula. It is a group represented by (Y-1) or a group represented by the formula (Y-2).
