To provide a metal fatigue resistance adding agent and a metal fatigue resistance adding method capable of adding fatigue resistance to a metal material easily at more safely and lower cost.SOLUTION: The metal fatigue resistance adding agent contains carboxylic acid or a salt thereof (a component), at least one kind of compound selected from a group consisting of a compound containing oxoanion of the Group XI element, a tin compound, a manganese compound, and a calcium compound (b component), and an alkali agent (c component). Further the metal fatigue resistance adding method makes the metal fatigue resistance adding agent present in a water-system in contact with metal products.SELECTED DRAWING: None
