To improve flexibility and transmission efficiency by expanding operation of logo data when making a video image into ultra high definition.SOLUTION: In a transmission system, logo data is modularized for each logo identification and each logo type, and the modularized logo data is distributed to a plurality of sections of common data table information. Logo data distribution information indicating correspondence between the logo type regarding the logo data and the section to distribute is defined and inserted into a logo data distribution descriptor of the common data table information. Logo transmission description information is generated from logo management information including the logo identification and the logo type of the logo data is generated and inserted into a logo transmission descriptor of service description table information. The common data table information and the service description table information are multiplexed with a broadcast signal and the multiplexed broadcast signal is transmitted.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
