Sliding door interference prevention device for vehicles

To prevent functional parts accommodated in a vehicle body panel from getting wet in a vehicle sliding door contacting prevention device.SOLUTION: The vehicle sliding door contacting prevention device includes a latch 13, a latch guide 12, and a drain tube 17. The latch 13 can advance from and retract into a through hole P12 provided in the vehicle body panel, and retracts into the through hole P12 to allow a sliding door to operate in an opening manner when a fuel lid is closed. The latch 13 prevents the sliding door from operating in the opening manner by contacting a striker when the fuel lid is opened. The latch guide 12 is fixed in the vehicle body panel, and has a cylindrical guide tube 12a where the latch 13 is inserted slidably in the advancing/retracting direction and a water discharge port 12f that discharges intrusion water entering the guide tube 12a. The drain tube 17 is connected to the latch guide 12 and discharges the intrusion water that is discharged from the water discharge port 12f.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8
