PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an IABP driver capable of securely preventing the problem of interruption of power supply at the time of switching a battery.SOLUTION: A balloon catheter to which a balloon is connected is attached to an IABP driver that expands and contracts the balloon. The IABP driver includes: a first and second batteries for supplying power; a power-supplied unit that is driven by receiving power supplied from the first and second batteries; a battery detection unit that detects a battery voltage which is a voltage of the first battery, and voltage drop speed of the first battery; and a battery control unit for controlling connection between the power-supplied unit and the first and second batteries. The battery control unit, when the battery voltage and voltage drop speed detected by the battery detection unit satisfies a predetermined condition, performs switching control of changing a power supply source to the power-supplied unit from the first battery to the second battery.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
