To facilitate selection of writing.SOLUTION: An information processor 10 receives designation of a reference area to be a reference of a writing search on a screen on which writing by a handwriting input is displayed, sets a first search area neighboring in a search direction in which the writing search is performed in the reference area, and sets a second search area adjacent to the reference area in the search direction and included in the first search area. When the first search area includes writing, the information processor resets the first search area so as to be adjacent to this writing in the search direction. When a difference between a search direction-side end of the writing included in the first search area and a search direction-side end of the writing included in the second search area is within a predetermined threshold, the information processor resets a search direction-side end of the second search area to the same position as a search direction-side end of the first search area. When no writing is included in the first search area that has been set or reset, the information processor selects the writing included in the first search area where the writing has been searched. When the difference exceeds the predetermined threshold, the information processor selects the writing included in the second search area where the writing has been searched.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
