PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrict the power loss in an electrically-driven submersible pump system.SOLUTION: An electrically-driven submersible pump 10 comprises: a submersible pump 11 at least a part of which is disposed in a fluid L for pumping up the fluid L; a motor 31 disposed in the fluid L for driving the submersible pump 11; and a step-down transformer 51. The step-down transformer 51 includes a step-down circuit 54, and a step-down transformer casing 53. The step-down circuit 54 reduces the voltage of AC power from the outside to a voltage suitable for driving the motor 31 and supplies the voltage-dropping AC power to the motor 31. The step-down transformer casing 53 is attached to a motor casing 33 of the motor 31 for covering the step-down circuit 54.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
