PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a remote monitoring system capable of quickly responding to the status of a lifting device.SOLUTION: This remote monitoring system is provided with: a remote monitoring unit 3 that monitors an elevator 2 having a signal output unit 21 and outputs an informing signal on the basis of a signal output from the signal output unit 21; and a plurality of portable terminals 4 that can each receive the informing signal from the remote monitoring unit 3 through wireless communication. The remote monitoring unit 3 outputs the informing signal toward a portable terminal 4B different from a prescribed portable terminal 4A among the portable terminals 4 if wireless communication with the portable terminal 4A is disabled when the informing signal is output toward the portable terminal 4A among the portable terminals 4.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
