To improve image quality in a plural slice imaging using a plurality of RF coils.SOLUTION: An MRI apparatus according to an embodiment includes a sequence control unit and a generation unit. The generation unit performs SENSE reconfiguration on the basis of a plurality of sensitivity maps and data on one slice acquired by exciting one slice position to generate data on the one slice and data on a slice other than the one slice; on the basis of the data on the one slice and the data on the slice other than the one slice, calculates at least either of leakage between the slices and in-plane residual aliasing; and performs SENSE reconfiguration on the basis of the sensitivity maps and at least either of the calculated leakage between the slices and the calculated in-plane residual aliasing and data on a plurality of slices acquired by simultaneously exciting a plurality of positions corresponding to the plurality of slices to remove at least either of the calculated leakage between the slices and the calculated in-plane residual aliasing.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 14
