To provide a paper twisted yarn, a method for producing the paper twisted yarn, and a woven fabric which uses the paper twisted yarn, and in which a long-term photocatalytic effect is obtained.SOLUTION: In a paper twisted yarn, photocatalyst particles 1 are not only adhered to a yarn-like body formed of an aggregate of cellulose fibers 2 with an adhesive, but the photocatalyst particles 1 are adhered in a larger number to the inside of the yarn-like body than to the surface thereof. The yarn-like body is formed by twisting a belt-like paper material having the photocatalyst particles adhered to the front surface side and the back surface side thereof. Even when the yarn-like body is rubbed with another material or washed, it is very unlikely that the photocatalyst particles 1 provided in a larger number in the inside of the yarn-like body fall off. As a result, the yarn-like body retains a large quantity of the photocatalyst particles for a long period of time. In addition, the penetrability of UV light into the inside of the yarn-like body is high, so that a photocatalytic effect by the photocatalyst particles retained in a larger number in the inside of the yarn-like body is exerted for a long period of time.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
