To provide a split magnet eddy current loss analysis method capable of analyzing eddy current loss in a three-dimensional eddy current field of a magnet.SOLUTION: A split magnet eddy current loss analysis method includes the steps of: dividing a plane perpendicular to a rotation axis of a rotary machine having a magnet and a magnetic body into elements; performing two-dimensional magnetic field analysis; extracting a partial region including the magnet, as a partial two-dimensional mesh, from a region of the performed two-dimensional magnetic field analysis; forming a partial three-dimensional mesh by stacking the extracted partial two-dimensional mesh in a rotation axis direction to half a length of the magnet in the axial direction; placing a thin air layer mesh at a top thereof; allocating magnetic permeability at each time in transient analysis to each element except the thin air layer mesh of the partial three-dimensional mesh; setting a product of a magnetic vector potential value at each time and length of each side in the rotation axis direction, as boundary conditions, on a side in the rotation axis direction in a boundary region of the partial three-dimensional mesh; performing three-dimensional magnetic field analysis using the boundary conditions; and calculating an eddy current loss of the magnet.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
