To provide an additive (additive for cement) for inorganic particles containing a polycarboxylic acid-based copolymer, capable of achieving desired flowability, even when an addition amount into a cement composition is reduced; and to provide a cement composition containing the additive (additive for cement) for inorganic particles.SOLUTION: A polycarboxylic acid-based copolymer has a structural unit (I) derived from a specific unsaturated polyalkylene glycol-based monomer (a), and a structural unit (II) derived from a specific unsaturated carboxylic acid-based monomer (b), and further has a specific trithiocarbonate structure.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
