The invention relates to a single- or multilayer polyester film with transparency at least 93%, where the film includes a UV stabilizer in all film layers and has a permanent antifog coating on at least one side. The permanent antifog coating is the dried product of an aqueous coating dispersion having the following components:a) from 1 to 15% by weight (based on the coating dispersion) of a soil release polymer andb) from 3 to 15% by weight (based on the coating dispersion) of a hygroscopic, porous material. The invention further relates to a process for the production of the film and to its use.
