System for secure authentication of a user's identity in an electronic system for banking transactions includes at least one first user apparatus subject to the secure authentication, and one or more further apparatuses bidirectionally communicating with each other and with the first apparatus, wherein: the first apparatus (α) and a second apparatus (β), belonging to the one or more further apparatuses, include an equal system generating a random number composed of any number of digits, the random number being divided into a first part and, respectively, a second part, which are complementary and subsets of the random number; the first apparatus (α) including a component for generating, through the generating system, the first part and sending it to the second apparatus (β); the second apparatus (β) including a component for generating, through the generating system, the second part via generation of one or more of the random number, each one having a corresponding first part, and a component for comparing the corresponding first part thus generated with the first part received from the first apparatus (α), determining the second part associated with the corresponding first part equal to the first part received, and a component for sending the second part to the first apparatus (α), thereby attaining the secure authentication of the identity of a user associated with the first apparatus.
