the present invention refers to the development of a system for obtaining logic gates through a configuration of a mach-zehnder interferometer (mzi) with a semiconductor optical amplifier (sounds) as an unbalanced element of the interferometer in an amplitude modulation regime pulse (pam). the results of the experiments demonstrate the obtaining of the logic gates and and or in a wide range of current of gain of the sounds, in addition to the logic functions zero and one in some of the cases. we confirmed the quality of these logic gates by the precision ratio in relation to the 0.4 db threshold above and below the central limit, following recommendations in the literature. we highlight that the technique used in this experiment is much less complex than most of those described in the literature. the use of pam (pulse amplitude modulation) suggests a simpler way to control logic gates, since we can obtain them simply by changing the injection current applied by the sounds. experimentally obtaining such logic gates is relevant for fully optical logic circuits that are proposed to optimize current optical communication systems.
