This invention refers to the use of propolis, from microparticulate or microencapsulated composites in chitosan, as an additive in adhesive powders of mucosal supported dentures, allowing the aggregation of bactericidal, anti-inflammatory, antifungal, healing and antioxidant properties of propolis to the adhesive daily use for fixing prostheses or dentures. In addition to ordinary propolis, specific use of Red Propolis from Alagoas can add even more beneficial properties to the adhesive, given its bactericidal, fungicidal, anti-inflammatory and healing properties. The adhesive properties of powders modified with composites are maintained or improved over non-additive adhesives.
