The present invention relates to a method for detecting bacteria with reduced susceptibility to polymyxins. More specifically, the present invention relates to a kit consisting of A- a solid chromogenic medium for screening and isolation of Gram negative bacilli resistant to polymyxins, by incorporating the drug in a limit concentration to detect the susceptibility of the isolate and in combination with other drugs capable of inhibiting the accompanying microbiota. E B- A microtiter plate that allows to detect precisely the minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) of the polymyxins for the bacteria under study.
