methods are described to stratify the risk of the patient to patients with prostate cancer and to provide a treatment recommendation to a patient based on a risk score of variant 7 of phosphodiesterase 4d (pde4d7). A diagnostic kit and software product for the analysis and determination of pde4d7 risk score are also revealed.
