a method, a device and a computer program product for wireless communication are provided. the device can identify a potential collision between a programmed legacy transmission time slot (tti) communication and a programmed shortened tti communication (stti), the legacy tti communication having a legacy tti duration that is longer longer than a stti duration associated with stti communication. the device can determine whether the legacy tti communication is comprised of a threshold time to be transmitted. the apparatus can transmit at least one between the stti communication, the legacy tti communication or any combination thereof, based at least in part on the determination.
