the present invention relates to an article of manufacture of a light therapy device, system and method for providing light is distributed to the skin by means of one or more optical fibers in therapeutic dosages of the light source at wavelengths of 614- 624nm, 668-684nm, 751-772nm and 813-846nm. the light source can be made up of one or more led light emitting diodes arranged on a flexible printed circuit board (pcb) and a tip adapter set configured to provide light to the patient's skin directly from the light source arranged on the pcb adjacent to the scalp surface. a control circuit operationally connected to the printed circuit board is adapted to supply power to one or more LED zones to address the treatment regime for hair loss, including spot baldness, hairline baldness, baldness and total surface therapy of the scalp. therefore, a portable, wireless, hands-free light therapy device can be configured as a cover to be used by the patient to minimize the negative psychological association of hair loss, while still providing affordable hair growth treatment.
