Herbicidal compositions are disclosed herein which comprise a herbicidally effective amount of (a) a pyridine carboxylic acid herbicide or an agriculturally acceptable n-oxide, salt or ester thereof and (b) a photosystem inhibitor ii or an agriculturally salt or ester acceptable value. methods for controlling undesirable vegetation, which include applying to vegetation, or an area adjacent to vegetation, or applying to soil or water to prevent the appearance or development of vegetation, are disclosed here (a) a pyridine carboxylic acid herbicide or an agriculturally acceptable n-oxide, salt or ester thereof and (b) a photosystem inhibitor ii or an agriculturally acceptable salt or ester thereof, in which (a) and (b) are each added in an amount enough to provide a herbicidal effect.
