Bifocal Lens Dual Field Optical Imaging System The present invention relates to a dual-field optical field imaging system which is provided for obtaining two images of a scene, each image having a field of different view. the dual field of view optical imaging system includes a front bifocal lens, the bifocal lens having a focal length center zone f1 producing a wide focal length field of view image and a focal length peripheral zone f2 greater than f1 producing a narrow field of view image in a focal background; and a detector for detecting and acquiring the wide field of view image and the narrow field of view image, the detector being movable along an optical path for selective positioning in the focal foreground or focal background.
