Current legislation does not allow the application of permanent pesticides in the preventive control of rodents in Denmark. Therefore, the control now takes place by using rodent depots with snap traps, which requires manual service by a service technician. When a trap is triggered, it will be out of order until a service technician manually removes it. dead rodents and re-tightens the trap. Ripito Trap is characterized by (5) a bottom plate with a tilt function, as well as (4) a tension arm, which opens (6) the bib trap and subsequently re-tightens it. When the bottom plate tilts, the snap trap will hit the tension arm, thereby opening the trap and releasing the rodent to the surroundings. When the base plate is completely tilted, the trap will be retightened (figure 3), whereby this is again functional when the base plate returns to the starting position. This solution thus significantly increases the effectiveness in the fight against rodents, as Ripito Trap does not require service to be functional after being triggered.
