The present invention relates to a method for the synthesis of mordenite molecular sieves with controlled arrangement and distribution of Bronsted acid sites, as well as a process product and use of the process product. The catalyst obtained by the present method has excellent adsorption and catalysis characteristics. The synthesis method proposed in the present invention is simple and has broad prospects for industrial application, in particular, as a catalyst for the carbonylation of dimethyl ether.
