METHOD AND DEVICE FOR CONTROL OF A BURNER IN A FURNACE FOR FUSION IN A WEIGHTED CONDITION

A description of the method and device for controlling a burner (1) in a furnace (2) for suspended smelting is given. The burner (1) contains means (5) for supplying the reaction gas and means (6) for supplying finely dispersed solid particles. The means (6) for supplying fine solid particles at its upstream end is pivotally supported in the means (5) for supplying the reaction gas. The burner (1) comprises at least one first mechanical actuator (12) adapted to center the means (6) for feeding fine solid particles in the annular outlet (9) for the reaction gas. Said at least one first actuator (12) is configured to perform centering in response to receiving a control signal to center the fine solids channel in the annular reaction gas outlet (9).
